Abstract As representatives of a western civilisation with two lungs: Europe and America - in general, we are proud and satisfied to assess our position in the world, but also, in recent years, we have looked with concern at China, which is growing into the world's first economy and could seriously undermine the position of the West in political and economic life. With this perception of reality, we pay rather little attention to Africa; we have different stereotypes about it and generally none of us on the Black Land expects to find any models or inspirations. Meanwhile, there is talk in some quarters of African philosophy, but what it is - not many people can be specific. That is why this work is aimed at popularising African philosophy. Even though the West is responsible for progress in the world, nevertheless, sometimes we can learn something from civilisations that are less technically advanced than us and have much poorer scientific and, in particular, philosophical literature.
