Abstract The article presents the history of Polish folktale from oral - via analog - to the digital collections. The text consists of the three paragraphs: 1. Storytelling tradition in Poland; 2. Folktale collection and research; 3.Online folk tale archives. The article is focused on the importance of the online folktale indexes and collections in popularization of very rich Polish folktale documentation and scholarship as a valuable part of the European and global intangible heritage in the digital era.
