Abstract The article describes the problem of educational challenges in the work of a teacher in the face of unprecedented global pandemic reality. In these realities, the professional activity of the educator acquires a new dimension forcing the adoption of a completely different model of work with the student. Traditional education is replaced by teaching and learning through electronic media devices. The key attention of the publication is focused on the activity and efforts of the teacher, including, above all, the relationship between the teacher and the student and parents as well as mutual relations of students. It also examines issues of social support, building resilience in dealing skillfully with difficulties that disrupt educational processes, and illustrates the rationale for changes in the field of didactics and competence development of e-educating teachers.
