Abstract The work examines the factors that complicate the implementation of innovation in sectors of the Georgian economy in the conditions of a new technological revolution (the process of transition to a new technological structure) and the prerequisites for overcoming them. The technologies of the key factor of the new technological order (i.e., the most relevant technologies providing a new technological revolution) and the main supporting industries are systematized. Next, a strategy for transforming the industry structure of the Georgian economy is proposed and justified in the light of solving the problems of the new technological revolution through the implementation of relevant basic and improving innovations in the energy sector and in a number of industrial subsectors (electrical industry, production of composite materials and products made from them, metallurgical industry, information and communication technologies, transport engineering, light industry) of Georgia.
