Abstract The article analyzes media narratives surrounding Teatr. Rodzina patologiczna by Iga Dzieciuchowicz, interpreted in the context of the #MeToo debate and the issue of violence in the Polish theatre community. The study is qualitative in nature and is based on a discourse analysis of selected journalistic texts, with particular attention paid to visual materials and paratexts such as headlines and leads. The analysis revealed the dominance of several recurring themes: systemic violence, hypocrisy and double standards, intimate testimonies, and legal disputes related to censorship. The article concludes that the journalistic framing of the issue is ambivalent: on the one hand, it increases the visibility of violence and may help break mechanisms of silence; on the other, it tends to simplify the issue into a scandal, marginalizing the perspective of institutional solutions.
